Frequently Asked Questions
Helpful tips for applying to Jump.
How does the hiring process work?
We believe that hiring is all about discovering each other’s strengths and finding a great fit. Beyond just interviews, we use a variety of tools, such as diagnostics, take home exercises, and case studies to figure out what people’s talents are. Each part of our process is designed to give candidates the opportunity to showcase their potential and learn about the work we do. We speak with 75 candidates for every one person we hire, and have to take a pass on many gifted individuals who are better suited for other places.
How long does the hiring process take?
The full experience, from the submission of your full application to making a final hiring decision, can take approximately 4-8 weeks for most positions.
Who makes the hiring decisions?
Recruiting at Jump is run by a small core team that reviews applications and makes critical decisions, and a larger extended team that comes in for evaluating candidates. We all work full time on client projects and business operations, so we can really speak to what’s needed for each position.
How can I stand out as a promising candidate?
Show us that you have a unique passion for the kind of work we do. Show us that you have a high bar for quality. Show us how your hybrid background helps you to fundamentally reframe a business problem. Show us how you’re willing to keep working at something until you get it right. We know that it’s stressful to apply for a job. We’ve all been there. But we need to know what your secret superpowers are.
Can I have an informational interview before I submit an application?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of applicants, we have to prioritize the candidates who have already submitted their materials and are considered to have a relevant background.
Does Jump offer internships?
At this time, we do not offer internships.
I’m not eligible to work in the US. Can Jump sponsor my visa?
Currently, we can only consider candidates who are U.S. citizens or have a permanent right to work in the US without sponsorship.
