Think People.
We think of people as people. Not users, not markets, not segments. That stems from our desire to see the world as it sees itself. It requires us to be open-hearted about the world.
Think Needs.
Somewhere out there right now, there are people with big needs – the kind of things that keep them up at night. If we can stop worrying about our own problems and actually empathize with their lives, we can find out what people really need.
Think Social.
No person is an island – we all exist within a complex network that has a massive effect on what we think and feel. Understanding that social and cultural context can allow us to effect meaningful positive change.
Think Bold.
Great change comes from inspiration, and inspiration is seldom a dull thing. It’s always easier to make a wild idea reasonable. It’s harder to take a tame idea and make it great. Swing for the fences. You might strike out, but you’re far likelier to hit a home run.
Think Fun.
Life is grand and work should be too. Opening yourself up to surprise and delight can take you to places you’ve never been. It might even turn a daunting challenge into a chance for unprecedented success.
Think System.
A single success will eventually be overtaken, or even forgotten. Companies that are built to last find multiple ways to satisfy people, time and time again. Systems and families of solutions solve bigger needs, create greater change and are ultimately harder for others to replicate.
Think Long Term.
Lasting design directions only come from thinking about enduring needs, changes in conditions down the road, and where you want to end up. Creating a roadmap for sustainable competitive advantage gives you a better chance of succeeding in the long run.
Think Actionable.
Knowing something isn’t nearly as helpful as knowing what to do about it. The people who depend on our ideas also need us to articulate a compelling call to action, and then clearly describe what they need to do next.
Think Client.
We don’t work with companies; we work with people. And it’s a privilege to work with the kind of folks who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, and pragmatic enough to actually do it. We are ruthlessly committed to these people’s success.
Think Team.
The work we do is just too complex for any single person to do alone. Jump’s team is our strongest asset. It’s also the best reason to come into work. Every one on this team is committed to helping and challenging each other to achieve their greatest potential.
Think Aloud.
We prototype everything early, from our ideas to our deliverables. It’s better to get our thoughts out where people can hear them, see them, and make them great. There’s no holding back.
Think with your Gut.
The greatest ideas aren’t always thought. Sometimes they’re seen. Or felt. Creating new possibilities often requires us to go with our gut as well as our head.
