BusinessWeek: Jump’s Mortensen “Hits It Right On The Head” With Kindle


BusinessWeek’s Innovation Expert Bruce Nussbaum’s blog often plays host to a great conversation about the role that design can play in growing a business. Recently, he considered Amazon’s Kindle, which has been a big success despite a roundly panned design. In a featured post on the blog, Jump’s Pete Mortensen noted that the real success of the Kindle was the design of its network, including high-speed mobile internet and the Amazon library. Notes Bruce: “This is important stuff. It’s the ecosystem, the platform, folks.” Core77 has since echoed his comments.
